CLIENT COMMUNICATIONS

COMMUNICATION skills are integral to being a successful practitioner.  We must recognize WHO is lying on our table and TAILOR our communications to their personality, physical and emotional presentation.  Altering WHAT we say, WHEN we say it and WHAT NOT to say is vitally important.  Our words are a WINDOW into who we are as a practitioner - our CONFIDENCE and COMPETENCE.  Clients NOTICE what we say and how we say it.  Our communications with Clients builds TRUST and influences the PYSCHOLOGICAL space.  Managing Client ‘HEADSPACE’ improves session outcomes and daily quality of life.  REMEMBER the most important aspect of communicating is LISTENING - HEAR WHAT YOUR CLIENTS SAY.

CLIENT EDUCATION

EDUCATING YOUR clients to treat themselves better and NOT undo YOUR work is integral to becoming a more successful practitioner.  Session outcomes IMPROVE and referral rates go up when clients STOP aggravating their problems and STOP hurting themselves.  Simple things like sitting posture; leg crossing; leaning to one side; sleep posture; pillows - ALL contribute to, if not cause the problems they have brought to YOUR table.  A thorough and comprehensive INTAKE allows YOU to address ALL of these issues - demonstrate, use props, have them show you they understand.  Educate about SLEEP duration and quality, HYDRATION, and better managing STRESS.  They will appreciate and thank you for YOUR dedication to their improved health.
